Find highlights in a recording

The highlight finder reads a game recording on your own computer and ranks its moments. It explains each score, so you can see why a moment made the list.

Choose what to listen for#

Open "Highlights" in the left rail. "Find options" sets what counts:

• "Game audio": explosions, kills, crowd;
• "Your voice": you shouting or laughing on the mic track;
• "On screen": flashes, fast motion, kill feeds;
• "Chat": choose "Import a chat log…" to add a Twitch or YouTube chat replay saved as JSON;
• "Stream markers": markers you set while streaming.

It also sets "How many moments" and the "Minimum score".

Find and review the moments#

1. Choose "Find highlights". Each moment gets a card with its score and the reasons for it.
2. Review the cards from the keyboard:
   • A accepts a moment and R rejects it;
   • Enter jumps to its peak and Space plays it.

Make a highlight reel#

Choose "Make highlight reel (N)". It makes a new sequence of the accepted moments, or, when none is accepted, of every moment not rejected. "Reel options" sets:

• the "Order": "Best first" or "As it happened";
• the "Length" and the "Transition";
• "Music" from the Library, with the cuts landing on its beats;
• "Slow motion at each peak".

Make a Short from one moment#

Select a moment and choose "Make a Short". "Short options" set the "Layout" ("Auto", "Split" or "Blurred fill"), the "Facecam", "Captions" and a "Hook title". See Make a Short or TikTok.
